           Twisted Sister

This quilt is SO fun!  Take a ‘Charm Pack’ or a ‘Layer Cake’, cut it up into pieces, sew it back together, cut it up again and twist and turn it into something even your “Twisted Sister” would love.  Add sashings and four patch corner posts, and it becomes a table runner or a lap quilt.  So fun made from all the fun, wild, “Bakery” goods you’ve been dying to try lately.  You can plan on finishing most of this quilt in class.

Size:  6 block table runner:  32” x 42”
          9 block lap quilt:  42” x 42”

Special Tools:
O’Lipfa Square
(6 ½ inch)

Cutting List:   Pattern $3.00

1.  Blocks:  2 Charm Packs or one Layer Cake.    Buy more if you want to make it bigger.  If using a layer cake, cut 24 - 5” squares (for 6 block table runner) or 36 - 5” squares (for 9 block lap quilt).  You will need 4 squares for each block, 2 of one color/pattern that match, and 2 of another matching color/pattern.

2.  Sashings:  may use various fabrics from the layer cakes, or a matching Jelly Roll or yardage will work wonderfully. Cut 17 (24 for 9 patch)  2 ½ strips in various colors/patterns that are 8 ½ inches long

3.  Outer border #1:  1/3 yard of complimentary print

4.  Outer border #2:  1/2 yard of print from your pattern line.  If you are making your quilt bigger, you will need enough for the length of your border.

5.  Backing: complimentary fabric for the size quilt you’re making.

If you have questions, be sure to call me.  This quilt is ‘twisted’ and fun!
