25 Summer Days

A vintage 30's quilt - which is made from half square triangles. A quick and easy method for appliquing circles will be taught.  A kit is available if you would like 30's fabrics - the squares will be precut to size.  Kit fee: $100.

Supplies:
Sewing machine
Basic sewing kit
Mat, rotary cutter, and ruler
Spray starch

Fabric:
1 yard fabric for applique circles
2 1/4 yards muslin or sashing fabric
3/8 yard fabric for posts - if you want your binding to be the same as the posts you will need an additional 1 yard.
Assortment of prints to be cut into 224 - 5 7/8" squares - Draw a line on the wrong side on the diagonal.
From muslin or sashing fabric - cut 29 - 2 1/2" strips.  From these, cut 97 pieces 2 1/2" x 10 1/2" and 30 pieces 2 1/2" x 5 1/2".
Post - cut 48 - 2 1/2" squares.
